Need help with a monster cookie recipe, halving recipes it and what if i remove the peanut butter?
i finally found a monster cookie reciepe that looks similar to the ingredient list of these awesome amish cookies they sell locally, but the reciepe is a massive batch that i actually broke down to a 1 4 of it. problem is now i have 1 and half egg in the receipe, what should i do? use one or two eggs? is there a way to half an egg?also i think i would like to remove the peanut butter from the reciepe, would i be removing an important cooking agent? it has other liquids and butter.i definately want oatmeal, mm's and chocolate chips. they ingredient list to the amish ones i like has molasses. the receipe i found has corn syrup. i thought that would make them similarly chewy. the receipe i found was for 23 dozen cookies i dont know who in their right mind would want to back 23 dozen cookies? ? im looking for maybe 2 dozen. i tried freezing dough once, it didnt go so well, but i could easily have screwed that up, it was the first time trying it.original reciepe 1 pound 4 sticks butter, softened3 12 ounce jars creamy peanut butter2 1 pound boxes light brown sugar4 cups white sugar1 dozen eggs1 tablespoon vanilla1 tablespoon corn syrup like Karo light 8 teaspoons baking soda18 cups quick oats1 pound about 2 3 4 cups chocolate chips 1 pound about 2 3 4 cups plain M& Msi went back and looked an my numbers compared to the original and it was 1 8 the recipe.
Best/favorite monster cookie recipe?
I'd love to make a great monster cookie recipe. I made one recently, but it was mostly just oatmeal and m& m's I loved the m& m part, but I did not like how it had so much oatmeal in the recipe. I would like more of a regular " cookie" or chocolate chip cookie type not just oatmeal based, along with all the monster cookie fixins'. Let me know of your favorite recipe Thanks a bunch
